History of Torque Nutz
I have been a master truck mechanic for over 25 years. After wrenching on everything from heavy trucks and construction equipment to autos, there were often issues trying to make a safe connection to obtain more leverage without double wrenching or using a pipe, which wouldn’t work in tight spaces. I clearly remember the day I was trying to remove a seized hydraulic cooler hose which was in a tight space on a truck transmission. The frustration led me to my work bench where I first brought my idea/solution to life. I used a hexagon shape and ground a square in the center. I finally had the connection of my ratchet to my wrench, and there it was, Torque Nutz. They say the best ideas come from necessity. This is true, I personally have needed Torque Nutz in my tool box on a daily basis. I make every set of Torque Nutz myself using only 100% American made steel and both heat treating and coating processes are done locally in Northern Illinois.
